SHEILA BLACKBURN

Sheila Blackburn

Sheila Blackburn has been a classroom teacher for over twenty years, working mainly with KS1 and lower KS2 children. She is particularly interested in reading development and in motivating reluctant readers. As a Special Needs Co-ordinator, she is familiar with the reading problems that some children encounter and the concerns of parents. Her aim is to write stories that make children feel successful and that are fun to read!

She is currently working on a new series of books about a boy called Stewie Scraps which will be published next year.

Sheila’s hobbies include writing, gardening and walking, and she is mad about dogs, ducks and anything to do with nature and the world we share.
