Sheila Blackburn
Sheila aims to write stories that make children feel successful and that are fun to read! In 2008 she won the children's section of the Cheshire Prize for Literature.
She has been a classroom teacher for over twenty years, working mainly with 5–9 year olds. She is particularly interested in helping children to become lifelong readers. Having been a Special Needs Co-ordinator for over 10 years, she is familiar with the reading problems that some children encounter and the concerns of parents.
Sheila’s hobbies include writing, gardening and walking, and she is mad about dogs, ducks and anything to do with nature and the world we share.
